Sean Mock joined the Georgia State men’s basketball program in September 2018 as the Special Assistant to the Head Coach and will oversee multiple facets of the Panther program.

Mock previously served as an assistant coach at Henderson State last year following a two-year stint at Northwood University.

A graduate of Miami of Ohio, Mock spent two seasons at Northwood (Midland, Mich.), an NCAA Division II institution in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

During his time at Northwood, Mock worked directly with guards and wings including all-league point guard Maurice Jones who is playing professionally in Canada.

In his final season with the Timberwolves, Mock was associate head coach as well as recruiting coordinator and assisted in signing six players for 2017.

Prior to his stint at Northwood, Mock was the Director of Basketball Operations at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for four years. While at Miami, Mock assisted with the day-to-day duties with the team. He also served as a volunteer assistant coach for one year during the 2011-12 season.

A four-year letterwinner for Miami, Mock played for legendary coach Charlie Coles and was selected as the team’s co-captain his senior season.

Mock earned the Spirit of Miami Award, which is presented annually to both a male and female student-athlete for their exceptional enthusiastic commitments to their team. He also twice earned the team’s Marshal North Award, which is given to the player who best exemplifies the virtue of loyalty to the University, the team, and coaches, and whose personal sacrifice of time, effort and energy contribute materially to the advancement of the record of the team.

A native of Oxford, Ohio, Mock earned multiple honors from Talawanda High School, where he led the team to a conference championship.

Mock earned his degree in history from Miami in 2010. He and his wife Andrea were married in the fall of 2015.
