ATLANTA -- Georgia State's new Football Operations Suite is taking shape as construction at Georgia State Stadium progresses.
When completed this spring, the new complex under construction at field level of Georgia State Stadium, adjacent to the Panthers' state-of-the-art locker room, will provide a comprehensive and impressive home for GSU student-athletes, coaches and staff.
Covering 12,000 square feet, the Football Operations Suite includes office space and conference rooms for coaches and staff, a large team meeting room along with individual position meeting rooms, and a media room and work area. Also under construction are the weight room, athletic training room and equipment room.
The team meeting room will feature high-tech audio-visual capabilities and 150 theater-style seats, with each plush leather chair emblazoned with the Panther head logo.
The program's academic support facilities are already housed in Georgia State Stadium, allowing for efficient time management for student-athletes.
The Football Operations Suite was designed by CBRE Heery, with construction by Macallan Construction.
"It's so exciting to see the progress going on at Georgia State Stadium," Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb said. "This new facility is going to make an already amazing stadium even better, and it's absolutely vital to our athletic program, for our current and our future student-athletes. We're very grateful for the support of the Panther Family to be able to make this a reality."
