Nour Abbes joined coach Alex Leatu's staff prior to the 2019 season. Abbes is a graduate student at Georgia State University pursuing a masters degree in molecular biology. Abbes was born and raised in the El Menzah suburb of Tunis in Tunisia. She graduated from Lycée Sportif d' El Menzah before signing to play tennis at Xavier University of Louisiana. In two seasons at Xavier University of Louisiana, Abbes helped her team reach the NAIA semifinal round. Prior to the 2016 season, Abbes transferred to the University of Washington and competed with the Huskies for her final two collegiate seasons. While at Washington Abbes was named All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention and Pac 12 All-Academic Second Team. Abbes and doubles partner Miki Kobayashi were nationally ranked as a pair and selected to compete in the 2016 NCAA Doubles Championships. Abbes finished with a career singles record of 25-22, and was 26-17 in doubles play as a Husky. Abbes has competed in the Fed Cup and on the ITF Tour.
