The day will be highlighted by dual against second ranked and two-time national champion Southern California (10-1) at 12:30 p.m. The Panthers will also battle Florida Gulf Coast (2-2) at 5:00 p.m.

Georgia State has had a great deal of success on the home sand in years past. The Panthers were a perfect 6-0 at the GSU Beach complex last year, and own a 16-1 home record over the past three seasons.

Tuesday will mark the first meeting between the Sandy Panthers and the Women of Troy since the 2016 NCAA National Championships in Gulf Shores. Southern Cal bested GSU 3-0 and would go on to win their first national title.

Georgia State is 1-0 all time against Florida Gulf Coast with the lone meeting being a 5-0 Panther win last March in Boca Raton.

The Panthers are coming off a 4-0 weekend at the March to May Tournament in Gulf Shores that included wins over CCSA rivals Tulane and Southern Mississippi. Georgia Johnson and Eden Hawes were a spotless 4-0 in the one flight on the weekend, winning each match in just two sets.

Olivia Stasevich and Maddy Delmonte, in the two position, and Brooke Weiner and Kate Novack in the three spot were also 4-0 on the Alabama beaches. Maddie Gordon and Becky Tresham went 3-0 playing in both the four and five flights.
