STATESBORO, Ga.- Georgia State's 2019 season came to an end Saturday in Statesboro as the Panthers were defeated 2-0.

Emily Soles went the distance for GSU in the circle and held Georgia Southern to just two runs over six innings of work.

Down 2-0 going into the top of the sixth, the Panthers got the tying run to second, but were unable to get the big hit to pull even.

Caitlin Ray hit her 16th double of the season Saturday to put her tied for seventh in GSU's record book for most doubles in a single season.

Reagan Morgan and Remington Hasty, two seniors playing in their final games as Panthers, each recorded base knocks Saturday.

GSU closes out the 2019 campaign 8-46 and 5-22 in the Sun Belt.
