ATLANTA – Defending Sun Belt Conference regular season and tournament champions Georgia State men’s soccer wrapped up the 2019 spring semester with a team GPA of 3.51, with 20 individuals earning academic honors.
Tristan Jumeau, Logan Luque, Ramon Munoz, Javen Palmer and George Rodriguez were all named to the President’s List for obtaining a 4.0 GPA or higher for the spring semester. Luque, a freshman from Bonaire, Ga., finished the semester with a perfect 4.3 GPA.
Thirteen Panthers were named to the Dean’s List for having a GPA of 3.50-3.99, including Aris Briggs, Kyle Clinton, Clay Dawes, Jack Hilton-Jones, Frank Rosenwald and Max Wilkins who all made the Dean’s List or better for the second straight semester.
The men’s soccer team also placed two players on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll List for earning a 3.0-3.49 GPA. The squad was one of eight Georgia State athletic programs to finish the spring semester with a GPA of 3.5 or higher, ending the spring with a 3.51.
In total, GSU student-athletes achieved a 3.16 grade point average for the spring semester, with 186 individuals earning academic honors, including an all-time high 54 Panthers on the President’s List.
The 3.16 grade point average marks the 22nd consecutive semester, dating back to 2008, that the Panthers have maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher, and it gives the athletic department a 3.11 GPA for the 2018-19 academic year.
