ATLANTA – Angela Alonso and Lotte Meyberg were selected to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District 4 Team announced by Collegiate Sports Information Directors of America Tuesday.

The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Alonso, a junior from Valladolid, Spain, holds a 4.02 GPA as a political science major. She won a Sun Belt Indoor Championship in the mile earlier this semester and at the 2019 Sun Belt Outdoor Championship, Alonso placed second in the 1500m to earn eight team points for GSU. It is her second straight season with Google Cloud Academic All-District honors.

Meyberg, a junior from Buettelborn, Germany, is a nutrition major with a 4.23 GPA. Meyberg was a Google Cloud All-American in 2018 and earned All-Sun Belt honors for cross country in 2018 and 2017. She claimed a Sun Belt title in the 3000m steeplechase at the 2019 Sun Belt Outdoor Championships and placed second in the 5000m.

Alonso and Meyberg advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot. Google Cloud Academic All-America® teams will be announced June 27.
