ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s soccer players Jack Hilton-Jones and Frank Rosenwald were selected to the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) North Conference Best XI and Southeast Conference Best XI, the league announced Friday afternoon.
Hilton-Jones, who is suiting up for Med City FC this summer, earned a spot on the North Conference Best XI of the Midwest Region after leading his team to a 7-1-3 record through 11 matches. The Bruton, England, native has played and started in all 11 contests and has recorded four goals. Hilton-Jones was also named to Top Drawer Soccer’s NPSL Team of the Week in late May.
Rosenwald netted a goal in each of his first three appearances with Asheville City SC and has guided the club to a 5-3-2 mark through 10 games. His efforts on the pitch landed him a spot on the Southeast Conference Best XI of the South Region. The Exeter, England, native has appeared in seven matches for Asheville City this summer, starting in six of them.
The NPSL Conference XI selections were voted on by teams, media, fans and supporters. Each Conference XI includes one head coach, three defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards. The Conference XI winners automatically qualify as nominees for the 2019 NPSL Region XI teams.
The pair represents two of 10 different GSU men’s soccer players scattered across the country this summer competing in the NPSL and USL League Two. The Panthers have athletes spending the offseason in states as close as South Carolina and as far as Minnesota.
