ATLANTA -- Remy Lazarus is a senior safety on the Georgia State football team, but he has added a new title to his resume: reporter.

Throughout the 2019 season, Lazarus will introduce fans to his teammates by interviewing a different player each week.

A native of Alpharetta, Ga., who attended King's Ridge Christian School, Lazarus started 11 games at safety in 2018 and was second on the team last season with 75 tackles.

His first interview is with sophomore running back Tucker Gregg, which is appropriate since both are former walk-ons. After joining the program as a freshman walk-on last fall, Gregg was awarded a scholarship just before the start of preseason camp.

Gregg, from Chatsworth, Ga., and Murray County High School, first earned playing on special teams, and then over the final three games of last season, he rushed for 83 yards on just 13 carries and caught three passes for 24 yards.

Lazarus even gets to break news for the program, informing sophomore wide receiver Terrance Dixon that he earned a scholarship.

Week 2 of the Remy Lazarus Show saw him check in with sophomore right guard Pat Bartlett, who says his football career began as a fullback. That was a few pounds ago!

Lazarus and the Panthers open the 2019 season Aug. 31 at Tennessee (3:30 p.m.), and the home opener is Saturday, Sept. 7 at 7 p.m. vs. Furman at Georgia State Stadium.
