ATLANTA - Georgia State's cross country team will start the 2019 season at the Vivint UVU Invitational at Palisade Park in Orem, Utah Saturday at non ET.

Head coach Chris England's squad was picked fourth in the preseason Sun Belt coaches poll as GSU returns top runners Lotte Meyberg and Angela Alonso from last season.

Not only will the Panthers battle other schools on Saturday, but the altitude will provide another challenge. Orem sits at just under 5,000 feet above sea level.

"I'm excited for this early challenge for our student-athletes," England said. "They get to experience new competition and new scenery. It's a great way to start the year."

The Panthers will be competing against runners from Utah Valley, Southern Utah, Utah, Idaho State and Westminster.
