OREM, Utah – Georgia State’s Lotte Meyberg began the 2019 season with a fourth-place finish at Saturday’s Vivint Invitational hosted by Utah Valley.

Competing against runners from Southern Utah, Utah Valley, Utah and Idaho State, the Panthers placed two student-athletes in the top 25.

Joining Meyberg (18:50.9) in the top 25 was Angela Alonso who came in 24th with a time of 19:56.7. Transfer Emma Devis ran the event in 20:51.3 followed by Mary Valli (21:07.5) and Anouk Prop (22:38.0).

“Saturday was a great experience for the team,” head coach Chris England said. “To open the season in Utah at 5,000 feet was a challenge and will help the team prepare for the Sun Belt Championship later this fall.”
