What You Need to Know: 

*Georgia State fell in three sets to Texas State Friday night. 

*The Panthers will look to split the two-game road trip to the Lone Star State as they take on UT Arlington tomorrow evening. 

San Marcos, Texas- Georgia State was defeated 3-0  by Texas State on Friday evening on the road. The loss dropped Georgia State to 1-4 in Sun Belt action, while Texas State improved to 5-1. 

Seniors Morgan Hash and Sydney Stroud led the offense with five kills each. Jordan Shoemaker would dish out 15 assists during the contest. 

The Panthers fell behind early in the match as the Bobcats went on a 10 point run in the opening set. Georgia State could not slow the Texas State offense, which put up a .609 hitting percentage in the frame.  Texas State would prevail 25-10. 

The Bobcats opened the second frame with five consecutive points en route to a 25-6 win. In the final frame the Panthers would speed up the offense and would produce less errors. Georgia State would remain close in the beginning, but a Texas State service ace in the middle of the set would change the momentum. The Bobcats would take the set 25-17.  

Georgia State takes the court again tomorrow taking on UT Arlington on the road. The Panthers and Mavericks will play at 7:30 p.m. Live stats and streaming will be available via the links on our schedule page.
