The first mission of the Georgia State Strength and Conditioning program is to educate, enhance, and positively influence the lives of each student-athlete.Our program embraces commitment to excellence, loyalty, selflessness, trust, respect, and faith in one another. Each strength coach strives to build character, place accountability on each young man or woman and appreciate cultural diversity. We expect all of the athletes at Georgia State to not only improve physically, but to also develop a passion for training that is equivalent to their hunger for competition. We will initiate competitive situations as frequently as possible in our training program to facilitate this purpose.
The Philosophy
The primary objective of the Georgia State Strength and Conditioning Program is to achieve the maximum level of performance and reduce the occurrence of athletic injuries through an aggressive approach of comprehensive training. To accomplish this requires more than just power and strength in the weight room.Speed improvement, agility, flexibility, conditioning, plyometrics, and balance also play key roles.
