2007-08: At the Niswonger Foundation Invitational, he triple jumped 14.99m and finished 2nd overall . . . he also finished 2nd in the long jump with a 6.65m jump  . . . qualified for NCAA Regionals in triple jump when he jumped for 15.29m (a new PR) at the CAA Outdoor Championships and was also the CAA Champion in triple jump and long jump after jumping 7.16m (also a new PR) . . . English was a member of the COSIDA Academic All-District Team and was the CAA Scholar Athlete of the Year for Track and Field . . . earned All-CAA honors for triple jump and long jump. . . was the CAA Track and Field M.O.P.  . . . was also named CAA Player of the Week for both triple jump and long jump . . . made Dean’s List for both fall and spring semesters.

2006-07: As a junior, continued his success . . .  during indoor season, competed in 60m, 200m and 300m dashes . . . at Virginia Tech Challenge, recorded season-best 300m time 37.60 . . . outdoor season also improved when he broke personal-best record 6.87m long jump at FSU Snowbird . . . at outdoor CAA Track & Field Championships, he placed in the top-10 in two events, including a 3rd place finish 14.5m triple jump . . . All-CAA honors  . . .  placed in top-20 in every event competed in . . .  five top-10 finishes . . . received CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award . . . made Dean’s List both semesters.

2005-06: Placed 1st at the Rod McCravy Memorial with a 14.79m triple jump . . . qualified for IC4A Indoor Championships  . . . during outdoor season, ran a personal-best 11.22 in 100-meter at the 49er Classic and the Seminole Invitational  . . . at CAA Track & Field Championship, landed a 14.02m triple jump to place 5th . . . earned Dean’s List honors and Athletic Director’s Honor Roll both semesters . . . also received CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award.

2004-05: Set a Georgia State record in the triple jump (14.81m) at the Alabama Relays . . . became the second male Panther to earn Atlantic Sun All-Conference honors in the triple jump . . . won the triple jump at the ETSU Indoor Invitational and placed 11th in 60m dash with a season-best 7.20 . . . placed 7th at Atlantic Sun Championship in the 100m . . . ran a personal-best 11.30 at the Spec Towns Invitational.

Prep: Regional champion and state qualifier in triple jump as a senior . . . lettered in football and basketball at St. Pius X . . . earned recognition in 2004 edition of “Who’s Who Among High School Students”.

Personal: Jacob was born on February 25, 1986 in Atlanta . . . He is the son of Dr. Vanessa English and has one older brother, Zachary, and one younger sister, Nanielle . . . Jacob is also the vice president of the Golden Key International Honor Society- Alpha Chapter at Georgia State.
