ATLANTA -- Devin Mitchell is the Georgia State Student-Athlete of the Week, powered by the U.S. Marines, after his 3-pointer with 11 seconds to play secured the Panthers' improbable comeback against South Alabama.

Mitchell finished with just six points, but all came in the final 90 seconds Georgia State scored the game's last eight points to top the Jaguars 78-77 in a Sun Belt Conference game Saturday at the GSU Sports Arena.

Georgia State trailed 77-70 with 1:33 to play after back-to-back 3-pointers by South Alabama.

The Panthers, who struggled in the first half at the free throw line, made five-straight in the comeback. Mitchell got fouled shooting a 3-pointer and hit all three free throws with 1:13 to play to cut the deficit to four.

Teammate Malik Benlevi added two more on the next possession.

With 11 seconds to play, Mitchell took a pass from Justin Seymour and nailed the trey form the corner.

The redshirt sophomore from Suwanee, Ga., finished with six points, two rebounds and a steal in 19 minutes.

Mitchell and the Panthers are back in action tonight, hosting Troy at 7 p.m. at the GSU Sports Arena (ESPN3/1340 The Fan 3).
