ATLANTA – Georgia State men’s soccer looks to extend its three-game winning streak to four on Tuesday as the Panthers take on Belmont in Nashville, Tenn.

GSU (3-2-0) comes off a 3-1 road win over Winthrop on Saturday for the team’s third straight victory – the sixth consecutive season the Panthers have strung together at least three wins in a row. Lukas Joyner had two goals in the win, the second most goals in a single match for a Sun Belt player this season. Also scoring for GSU on Saturday was freshman Matthew Fearnley, who ripped a 35-yard shot for his first goal as a Panther.

Georgia State enters Tuesday’s contest averaging 3.4 more shots and 2.2 more corner kicks than its opponents. Joyner leads the team with four total points, while Aris Briggs, Max Hemmings and Frank Rosenwald all have three.

Belmont (0-3-1) snapped its three-game losing streak with a 1-1 draw against San Diego on Saturday. Bruin keeper Nicolo Dini notched a season-high eight saves despite the loss. Belmont enters Tuesday’s match allowing its opponents 12.3 more shots and 7.75 more corners per contest.

Tuesday will be the 12th meeting between GSU and Belmont. The Panthers own a 9-2 all-time advantage in the series, but the Bruins won the most recent outing between the two programs 1-0 in 2017.
