ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis head coach Alex Leatu released the team’s fall schedule Thursday morning. The Panthers will participate in an event this upcoming weekend. The remainder of the fall slate takes place in October. 

GSU will open the fall season on September 20-22 in Miami at the University of Miami Fall Invite. The team will face Utah, FAU, FGCU, LSU, and the host school 

Up next for the Panthers is the UNC Charlotte 49er Invite October 11-13. The event is slated to feature seven other teams competing at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex. 

Georgia State will return to the Sunshine State to wrap up fall action at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships. The five day tournament will take place October 18-21 in Tallahassee, Fla.  Teams from Florida and Georgia will participate in the annual event. 

GSU will look to improve on an 11-13 overall 2019 season. The Panthers will return senior and two-time All-Sun Belt Singles Second Team selection, Damira Muminović. GSU will also welcome back sophomores Andreea Stanescu and Eva Chivu, who was named Sun Belt Freshman of the Year for 2019 and to the All-Sun Belt All-Singles First Team.  In addition to the veterans, five freshmen take the court for GSU this season.
