ATLANTA – Georgia State women’s soccer senior midfielder Monique Hundley was named to the Preseason Sun Belt All-Conference team, the league announced on Wednesday.

Hundley led the Panthers in 2017 with 45 total shots and 19 shots on goal. Her 45 shots ranked sixth among the Sun Belt Conference. Hundley played and started all 17 matches for Georgia State last season, accumulating over 1,500 minutes on the field.

As a team, GSU was picked to finish ninth in the conference as voted on by coaches around the league. South Alabama was the preseason favorite to win the conference with seven first-place votes and 117 total points.

Georgia State returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday for their final exhibition against Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. The Panthers kick off the regular season Aug. 17 vs. Tennessee Tech at the GSU Soccer Complex.
