ATLANTA – With seven members of the Georgia State men’s golf team earning academic honors, the Panthers finished the fall with a 3.46 GPA, tied with men’s soccer for the highest mark of any male sport at GSU during the semester.

Senior Severin Soller earned President’s List honors for a GPA of 4.0 or higher, while fellow seniors Nick Budd and Nathan Williams, along with junior Josh Edgar earned Dean’s List honors for a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Senior James Kyles, junior Egill Gunnarsson, and freshman David Li garnered Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

“Really proud of what our guys did in the classroom during the fall,” head coach Chad Wilson said. “I’m even more proud of our seniors as they are taking their toughest courses to be able to graduate, yet all four of them earned honors. For Severin to earn President’s List honors while taking six classes is even more remarkable.”

Georgia State student-athletes achieved a 3.07-grade point average for the fall 2018 semester, with 208 individuals earning academic honors, including 46 Panthers on the President’s List.

The 3.07-grade point average marks the 21st consecutive semester, dating back to 2008, that the Panthers have maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher.

Georgia State will return to the course for the Tiger Invitational hosted by Auburn Feb. 24-26, at Grand National Golf Club in Opelika, Ala.
