Members of the softball team participated in the August 27 school-wide Community Plunge by helping clean up and fix area nearby parks.

About 20 members of the softball squad put on two gloves for work instead of the one glove they are used to for their sport.

The Community Plunge organizes students to give service to the nearby community and make a positive difference. It still involved teamwork and helping one another, just like in the sport.

GSU athletics set a goal to break last year's 5,000 hours of community service time during the school year by all the student-athletes.
