A fund-raising game will be played Saturday, July 7 to help with Marcus Brown's favorite cause.

The 1st annual Marcus Brown Classic will be played Saturday, July 7 at 8 p.m. at McNair Middle School in College Park.

All proceeds from the $3 game will go directly to the Marcus Brown Proskills Summer Camp that the Brown family puts on. Donations can also be made to the Proskills Foundation to assist in the cause. Visit info@proskillscamp.org for more information on that camp.

Saturday's game to honor GSU's leading scorer and all-conference star from the 2004-05 team will include several former GSU teammates.

Former GSU all-conference guard and overseas professional star Lamont McIntosh will play, as will 6-foot-11 professional player Slyvester Morgan. Brown's younger twin brothers, Daniel and David will play. Daniel also played at Georgia State, while David played at Clark Atlanta.  Georgia Perimeter star Randy Orr will also suit up for the cause. His summer camps have taught youngsters and trained future champions for several years.

Other former Panther players may attend, but definite confirmation had not been given.

Ronald E. McNair Middle School is located at 2800 Burdett Road in College Park, just south of downtown Atlanta.
