With the spring semester underway, Georgia State Athletics partnered with Residence Life at the University Commons for an autograph signing with the men and women’s basketball teams on Wednesday evening. The event held at University Commons dorms allowed students to stop by, interact with both basketball teams, get autographs and win prizes.

Between 300 and 400 students visited the one-hour event as both basketball teams prepared for important conference games this week. The men’s basketball team will host Arkansas State on Thurs. night at 7 p.m., followed by a match-up with UALR on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Prior to the men’s game on Saturday, the women’s basketball team, coming off an upset victory of first-place Arkansas State on Tuesday night, will face UALR at noon.

“It was great to have so many students come out to support us,” redshirt-junior forward Curtis Washington said. “We know how loud the Sports Arena can be when our students and fans show up and we wanted this event to be a little way to give back and encourage them to keep coming out. We love the support and energy they give us.”

As a reminder, students are admitted free to all Georgia State home basketball games with a valid PantherCard ID. Click the link above to see all of the promotions at each of the three games this week.
