Sunday - Joel Sjoholm finished tied for 8th in the BMW International Open, marking his 6th Top 10 finish on the European Tour and second this month.
The GSU alum earned another 41,200 pounds, equivalent to about $64,215 dollars after his four-day 280 score (eight under par).
Saturday - Joel Sjoholm carded an even par 72 on Saturday to sit one-shot behind the third-round leader and tied for second heading into Sunday's final round of the BMW International Open in Pulheim, Germany.
The 27-year old former Panther is trying for his first win on the European PGA Tour, after having a third-place finish at the Sicilian Open as his previous best. He was 8th earlier this month (June 4) in the ISPA Handa Wales Open as the Sweden native appears to be playing some of the best golf of his pro career.
Sjoholm had won two tournaments at Georgia State in earning All-America status as both a junor and senior.

Friday - Pulheim, Germany--Former Georgia State men's golfer Joel Sjoholm twice chipped in for eagle and knocked down four birdies for a second-round 66 to take a two-stroke lead at the halfway mark of the BMW International Open on Friday.
Sjoholm sits at minus-11 for the tournament after posting a 67 in the first round. Sjoholm, 27, donned knickerbockers for his Friday round and is two shots ahead of four players tied at minus-9 for the tournament.
"This is the first time as a pro I've been in the lead, and I'm just enjoying it so much," Sjoholm told the Associated Press. "It's a great feeling to be leading and in a great tournament. I've always enjoyed playing in Germany."
The Chilean-born Swede was an All-American at Georgia State in 2007 and 2008. He turned professional in 2010 and has posted five Top 10 European PGA finishes and eight Top 25 finishes. He finished eighth on June 4 at the ISPS Handa Wales Open.
Sjoholm eagled No. 7 and No. 12 at the Golf Club Gut Larchenof in Pulheim, Germany. He joined the European Tour last year.
