The Georgia State football team has been active in the community this semester as the Panthers have volunteered numerous hours for many worthy causes around Atlanta.
Most recently, members of the team participated in a field day event for children in conjunction with "Forever Family," an organization that works to ensure that, no matter what the circumstances, all children have the opportunity to be surrounded by the love of family.
The children were invited to afternoon of fun and games with the Panthers at the team's practice facility.
"Our football players participate in many different projects, but they especially enjoy the opportunity to work with children," said football director of operations Sarah Gigantino, who helps coordinate the team's community service endeavors.
Other recent projects for the Panthers include Saturday visits to local elementary schools and the "Be Healthy Georgia" day at the Capitol, and the team will next participate in the "Sack Obesity" event at the Georgia Dome.
