ATLANTA--Thirty-four Georgia State football student-athletes earned academic honors for the spring semester, including five Panthers who earned the university's highest academic distinction with President's List recognition.
Georgia State's student-athlete population maintained a combined cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 for the eighth consecutive semester, and a total of 158 Panthers in all sports earned academic honors for the recently completed spring semester.
The President's List signifies a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher with at least nine credit hours.
Sophomore linebacker Mark Hogan is playing for the GSU baseball team this spring, but he also found time to excel in the classroom by making the President's List, along with senior offensive lineman Joseph Gilbert, senior defensive lineman Kalan Jenkins, freshman placekicker-punter David Miller and walk-on linebacker Dillon Livecche.
Another 10 Panthers earned Dean's List status with a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher, and 19 others made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a GPA of at least 3.2.
