Georgia State football season tickets on card stock are always popular and have proven to be a keepsake item our passionate fans enjoy. This year's tickets will keep that tradition with colorful photos and the GSU school spirit. Ever-popular head coach Bill Curry adorns the ticket panel again, with fan favorites like two-sport GSU athlete Mark Hogan and leading rusher "The Donald," a.k.a. Donald Russell.

But, the deadline is here if you want the keepsake collectible card stock. After Tuesday, May 29, all tickets will then be issued simply on "spitter card stock" without photos.

The Panthers' third football season opens on the big kickoff weekend in Atlanta that starts Thursday night, Aug. 30, with GSU football at its home in the Dome under the bright lights against 15-time FCS playoff team, South Carolina State. S.C. State's heritage has included three NFL Hall of Fame players.

The six-game home slate features a strong slate in GSU's final year of FCS competition before the move next year to FBS and the Sun Belt Conference.

The second home game will see GSU host a future C-USA team when the UTSA Roadrunners of former U. of Miami head coach Larry Coker come to the Georgia Dome for a re-match of last year's overtime game in San Antonio.

The Panthers will host four CAA teams. Richmond, the 2008 National Champs who beat Duke last year, have produced 15 NFL players. New Hampshire, a team that has made the FCS Playoffs four straight years, features the National FCS Defensive Player of the Year. Villanova's Wildcats, the 2009 National Champs, have turned out 12 NFL players with their strong history. Old Dominion, a future C-USA team as well, finished No. 10 in the national FCS poll last year after its 10-3 playoff season.
