ATLANTA- The Georgia State men’s soccer team will return home after a three-match road stretch for a Tuesday ­night match-up against UAB. This will be the last non-conference contest before GSU opens league play.

The Panthers are 6-4 this season following a tough loss at Jacksonville Saturday night.

GSU has consistently outscored its opponents, holding a 13-8 scoring advantage. The team has scored nine goals after halftime, with two coming in overtime periods.

Rashid Alarape leads the team in goals with six, three of which are game-winners. The senior forward ranks seventh nationally in game-winner goals.

The Panthers are performing solidly on the defensive side of the ball, shutting out four opponents to lead the conference in shutout percentage. Senior Yannic Horn leads the Sun Belt with a .789 save percentage, posting 30 saves this season.

UAB is 2-3-3 this season, playing to a 1-1 tie against Charlotte Saturday night. The Blazers are 2-2-0 in road play, falling in their last two away matches.

This will be the 19th time the teams have faced each other, with Georgia State holding a narrow 9-8-1 advantage. The Panthers last met UAB in Birmingham, Ala., where the match ended in a 1-1 tie.
