ATLANTA – The defending Sun Belt regular season and tournament champion Georgia State men’s soccer team finished the 2018 fall semester with a team GPA of 3.46, with 23 players earning academic honors.
Kyle Clinton, Tristan Jumeau, Logan Luque and Javen Palmer were all named to the President’s List for obtaining a GPA of 4.0 or higher. Jumeau, a freshman from Lancashire, England, was one of only three Georgia State student-athletes to finish with a perfect 4.3 GPA for the semester.
Seven Panthers were named to the Dean’s List for having a GPA of 3.50-3.99, including Liam Fitzsimmons and Frank Rosenwald who each collected their fourth academic honor at GSU. Also making the Dean’s List were newcomers Aris Briggs, Clay Dawes, Jack Hilton-Jones, Ramon Munoz and Max Wilkins.
The Panthers rounded out the academic honors with 12 players making the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll List for earning a 3.0-3.49 GPA. The GSU men’s soccer GPA of 3.46 was tied with men’s golf for the highest GPA among all Georgia State male sports teams.
In total, Georgia State student-athletes achieved a 3.07 grade point average for the fall 2018 semester, with 208 individuals earning academic honors, including 46 Panthers on the President’s List.
The 3.07 grade point average marks the 21st consecutive semester, dating back to 2008, that the Panthers have maintained a GPA (semester or cumulative) of 3.0 or higher.
