ATLANTA-With football season just over a month away, Georgia State is encouraging fans to unleash their #InnerPanther in a new marketing campaign introduced on Wednesday.

Based on Georgia State’s core values of Outstanding Effort, Fearlessness, Trust, Purpose, Respect and Integrity, the new "Unleash Your Inner Panther" campaign is a result of months of collaboration between the athletic department and OutdoorFlics Digital Studios & Media Lab.

With a combination of and unique Geo-targeting around campus and Atlanta, the goal was set to engage the six million people in Atlanta, 200,000 alumni and more than 50,000 Georgia State students. Along with that engagement, goals to drive ticket sales, Panther Athletic Club memberships and apparel sales through the department’s new store launched just over a month ago brought the campaign to life.

“We are excited about our new marketing initiative to engage our fans to unleash their #InnerPanther,” Director of Athletics Charlie Cobb said. “We have great programs on and off the field and are in the process of transforming Georgia State into what will be an incredible future.”

"As a former Division I senior athletic administrator who has been responsible for generating millions of dollars in ticket sales and donor revenues, I have an intimate understanding of the challenges facing Georgia State in a large media market,” Mike Pirolo, Managing Director for OutdoorFlics said.

“We believe that the cutting-edge story-telling, content distribution and media technology capabilities OutdoorFlics currently provides to our portfolio of business clients is a game-changer for Georgia State Athletics and college athletic marketing in general.”

Through the campaign, Georgia State will be able to target those who have shown an interest in the program, as well as those in the area who have the propensity to join the program as it continues to grow.

Along with a main video, four shorter videos featuring the Georgia State football, men’s basketball, beach volleyball and softball programs were created, encouraging fans to unleash their #InnerPanther. The #InnerPanther hashtag will be used throughout the year and will be seen on posters and other promotional items.

The campaign went live earlier Wednesday and will be used throughout the upcoming 2016-17 academic year.
