NORCROSS- Georgia State women’s tennis finished up the Piedmont invitational late Saturday night at the Life Time Sports Center in Norcross, Georgia. The Panthers won three of their seven singles matches against the Big Ten’s Purdue. Georgia State finished with a 15-5 record over the weekend in singles play.
Lara Vovk, Damira Muminovic, and Elizabet Danailova delivered wins for GSU Satuday evening. The trio combined to go 9-0 in singles play this weekend. Senior Kristin Rehse lost to Purdue’s Silivia Ambrosio in a third set tiebreak 11-9.
Georgia State will look to build on the momentum of the Piedmont Invitational as they prepare for the Bulldog Invitational in two weeks. The tournament in Athens will take place on November 10th-12th, and will be the final fall event for the Panthers.
