ATLANTA- Former Panther Abigail Tere-Apisah has once again been selected as a recipient of the International Player Grand Slam Grant. This is Tere-Apisah’s second straight year receiving the grant. She is one of 29 players from 20 different nations to earn the honor.
“We are very proud of her pro success and cannot wait to follow her progress”, said Coach Jason Marshall. “We hope she continues to do big things in 2018.”
The International Player Grand Slam Grant, financed by the Grand Slam Development Fund, will provide over $650,000 to players around the world to help with competition costs. Recipients will compete in the Grand Slam tournaments.
While at GSU, Tere-Apisah was a two-time All-American (2012, 2014). She participated in the NCAA Singles Championship three times, and twice in the NCAA Doubles Championship. She earned first team all conference honors in all four seasons, and was a member of the 2014 Sun Belt Championship team.
