ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis returns to the courts this weekend for a neutral site match against Oregon. The Panthers will take on the Ducks at noon on Saturday at Georgia Tech’s Ken Byers Tennis Complex.

GSU will enter the match with a 1-2 record, and looking to build on a win over Louisiana Monroe in their most recent match. Oregon brings a 3-1 record into Saturday’s play, but the Ducks faltered in their most recent match.

Saturday’s match, like GSU’s previous three matches will be in the clinch/clinch format. Arina Taluyenko and Daniela Ramirez both own undefeated records in completed clinch/clinch singles matches this season. Taluyenko and Ramirez have also both won doubles matches with partners, Kristin Rehse and Anastasia Grosheva respectively.

The Panthers will have a tough task in front of them taking on an Oregon team that made the NCAA Tournament last season.

“We are going to be tested on Saturday”, said coach Jason Marshall. “It will be a challenge and we are looking forward to taking advantage of our window of opportunity.”
