*Georgia State women’s tennis is at home Saturday morning for a match against Winthrop.

*The match will mark the Panthers’ first home event of the season.

ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis will enjoy home court advantage for the first time this season as they play host to Winthrop Saturday morning. The Panthers and the Eagles will get things going at 10:00 a.m. at Piedmont Park.

GSU will have their hands full facing a red hot Winthrop team. The Eagles have won five straight matches since beginning the season 0-2. The Panthers are looking for a bounce back after dropping three of their last four matches, the stretch was preceded by a four match GSU win streak.

At the season’s halfway point it has been a pair of upperclassmen Panthers who have led the way. Senior Kristin Rehse brings an 8-3 singles record into play this weekend. Rehse’s eight singles wins are a team high, and six have come in the one flight.

Junior, Daniela Ramirez has also enjoyed singles success, tallying a 6-3 overall record. Ramirez has recorded a 3-0 mark in the two position.
