ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis makes the trip to Dallas this weekend for two non-conference matches. The Panthers battle No. 31 Kansas State Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. and will take on host school SMU at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

GSU is led by senior Kristin Rehse who has collected eight singles wins, six in the number one flight for the Panthers. Second on the team is junior Daniela Ramirez who has amassed seven singles wins and earned a 3-0 record when playing in the number two position.

The trip will be a homecoming for Dallas native and Georgia State head coach Jason Marshall. The Panthers will feel right at home in Dallas, as this will be State’s fourth trip to the Big D in just over 365 days. GSU battled SMU and Cincinnati in Dallas last March and visited Dallas for fall and winter tournaments in October and January.

The two weekend matches will proceed a Tuesday match at UT Arlington and a Thursday match at North Texas as the Panthers spend Spring Break in the Longhorn State. This is the second straight year GSU has played four matches over the break in Texas; last season’s trip yielded a 2-2 record.
