The Sun Belt Conference released the Women’s Tennis Championship bracket Tuesday morning.

* Georgia State enters the SBC Tournament as a No. 3 seed. The Panthers (12-8, 4-3) have a first-round bye and open play with the winner of UT Arlington and Arkansas State on Friday, April 21st. UL Monroe and South Alabama are the only teams seeded ahead of GSU at No. 1 and 2 respectively.

* First serve between the Panthers and UTA or Arkansas State is set for 11:30 a.m. ET Friday.


ATLANTA, Ga. – The Sun Belt Conference released the Women’s Tennis Championship bracket Tuesday.

The Panthers (12-8, 4-3) have a first-round bye and begin tournament play with the winner of the UT Arlington and Arkansas State match. GSU’s quarterfinal match is set for Friday, April 21st at 11:30 a.m.

The top four seeds include UL Monroe, South Alabama, Georgia State and Troy. The top six seeds received byes to the quarterfinals.

Georgia State lost 4-1 to UT Arlington back on March 18th and did not play Arkansas State this season.

Head coach Jason Marshall and the Panthers begin defense of last year’s Sun Belt Crown Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET. The semifinal match would take place Saturday at 10 a.m. on ESPN3.
