ATLANTA- Georgia State women’s tennis is headed to Greenville, South Carolina for a Saturday doubleheader. The Panthers will face Furman and Liberty in a pair of matches originally scheduled to be played at Piedmont Park. The action was moved to South Carolina’s upstate due to the threat of rain.

 

The Panthers are led by Kristin Rehse who is 11-5 in singles matches on the season. Elizabet Danailova is 6-6 on the season and has won four straight matches in the second flight for GSU. Daniela Ramirez and Damira Muminovic both bring winning record into the weekend.

 

The Paladins are 7-8 on the year, while Liberty brings a 7-6 record into the weekend.

 

Saturday will mark the meeting between Georgia State and Liberty on the courts. The weekend trip will be the first to Greenville for the Panthers in two years. GSU defeated the Paladins 6-1 in February, 2016.

 

Georgia State will bring a 7-10 record into play this Saturday, after going 1-3 on a recent four-game road trip to Texas. The trip was highlighted by a win over No. 31 Kansas State.
