ATLANTA- As classes begin this week for the Spring 2019 semester, it is time to recognize the academic efforts of the Georgia State women’s tennis team during the Fall 2018 season. The team finished with a department best 3.77 GPA, helping the athletics department to an impressive 3.07 mark.

All eight players on the roster earned academic distinction for the fall semester. Freshman Andreea Stanescu and junior Ilona Golynker both achieved above a 4.0 and were named to the President’s List. Lara Vovk, Daniela Ramirez, Eva Chivu, and Anastasia Grosheva earned spots on the Dean’s list while Damira Muminović and Arielle Nealy landed on the Athletic Director Honor Roll.

The Panthers will look to continue succeeding in the classroom and on the court during a competition filled spring schedule. GSU will begin dual match play Friday at 10:00 a.m. against Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers, Florida.
