ATLANTA - For the second week in a row, Georgia State’s track and field team will be competing in Atlanta. The Panthers will be at the Emory Classic Friday and Saturday on the campus of Emory University.

Competition will begin Friday with the the Hammer Throw, Javelin and Long Jump at 2 p.m. followed by the High Jump at 4 p.m. The action continues Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. with the Women’s 5K and continues throughout the day with the last event scheduled to start at 4 p.m. The full schedule of events is attached to this article.

The Emory Classic marks the third outdoor event of the season as the panthers are coming off an impressive showing at the Yellow Jacket Invite last weekend at Georgia Tech. LaPorscha Wells, who sat out last week after earning All-American status at the NCAA Indoor Championships, will be competing both Friday and Saturday for GSU.
