ATLANTA – Georgia State’s women’s track and field team heads back to Birmingham this weekend for the Samford Open at the Birmingham Crossplex.

The Panthers will be competing against multiple D-I schools from several states around the southeast. Sun Belt foe Little Rock will be in attendance along with Central Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Grambling State, McNeese State, New Orleans, Nicholls State, Austin Peay, Belmont, Lipscomb, Chattanooga, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Jacksonville State, North Florida and Florida A&M.

GSU will be competing in two events Friday night. The Samford Open kicks off at 9 p.m. ET with the high jump and 200m.

The Panthers will be in action all day Saturday beginning with the weight throw and long jump at 10 a.m. ET. The Samford Open wraps up with the 4x400m relay at 7:50 p.m. ET.
