ATLANTA - Georgia State's track and field program goes to Columbia, S.C., this weekend to compete in the Weems Baskin Invitational at Sheila & Morris Cregger Track. Action begins with field events at 9 a.m. ET on Friday and Saturday. Track events start at 3 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday.
South Carolina will host a large field of teams to Cregger Track this weekend. Teams expected to be in attendance include Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Allen, Anderson, Appalachian State, Ashland, Benedict, Campbell, Carson-Newman, Charleston Southern, Charlotte, The Citadel, Claflin, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Columbia College, Columbia International, Coppin State, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Florida A&M, Fort Valley State, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Hampton, Hartford, Limestone, Livingstone, Monroe College, Morgan State, Newberry, Norfolk State, North Carolina, North Carolina A&T, North Carolina Central, North Greenville, Paine, St. Augustine's, Savannah State, Shorter, South Carolina State, Tennessee State, Tusculum, UNC Asheville, USC Upstate, Virginia Tech, Voorhees and Western Carolina.
Admission to the 2018 Weems Baskin Invitational is free.
Fan parking is available on the top three levels of the Heyward Street parking garage, located at 1300 Heyward Street, and is also available in the street-level parking spaces located on Heyward Street and adjacent roads. Overflow parking is available free of charge in the South Carolina State Fairgrounds RV lot, located at the corner of Assembly Street and Rosewood Drive.
