ATLANTA – Georgia State’s track and field team will head to Columbia, S.C for the second time this season to compete in the Gamecock Invitational on Saturday, April 7. The one-day meet begins with field events at 9 a.m. ET and running events at 10 a.m. ET at Sheila & Morris Cregger Track.

South Carolina expects to have over 900 student-athletes as they host nearly 30 teams, which include Alabama State, Allen, Benedict, Campbell, Charleston Southern, Coker, College of Charleston, Columbia International, Coppin State, Cornell, Davidson, Francis Madison, George Mason, Georgia State, Hampton, Howard, Johnson C. Smith, Kingsborough CC, Liberty, Limestone, Mt. Olive, Newberry, North Carolina A&T, NC State, Paine, Radford, South Carolina State, USC Beaufort, Tusculum, VMI and Wingate.

The Gamecock Invitational is free. Fan parking will be available on the top three levels of the Heyward Street parking garage, located at 1300 Heyward Street and on the street-level of Heward Street.
