ATLANTA -- Brooke Weiner and partner Kate Novack were a perfect 4-0 helping the Panthers to an undefeated weekend at the Diggin' Duals tournament and have been named GSU Student-Athletes of the Week on Monday.

The duo helped Georgia State take the tournament title by taking down conference rivals UNCW and College of Charleston as well as Arizona State and Tampa who were receiving votes in the AVCA Beach Volleyball Poll. With the four wins, Weiner moved into second place in individual wins in GSU beach history.

Weiner and Novack kicked off the weekend with a 21-19, 21-14 win over UNCW, helping GSU to a 3-2 win over the Seahawks. It was win number 79 for Weiner, passing Jansen John and Sara Olivia for second most in Panther history. Weiner would earn win 80 later Friday afternoon in GSU's 4-1 win over Arizona State.

Weiner and Novack would add a pair of wins over College of Charleston and Tampa on Senior Day to cap off the perfect 4-0 weekend. The four wins improved Weiner's record to 18-8 on the season, 13-6 with Kate Novack in the number three flight.

With 82 wins, the California native is just eight shy of Delaney Rohan's program-best 90 with at least 10 matches left on the schedule. Weiner and Novack along with the Panthers will travel to Tallahassee, Fla., this weekend to face Florida State, FIU, and FAU at the Seminole Beach Bash.
