ARLINGTON, TEXAS- Georgia State volleyball fell to UT Arlington in four sets Friday night (25-23, 21-25, 25-17, 25-14). The Panthers are now 2-7 in conference play.

GSU and UTA battled to a 20-20 tie in the first set, but the Mavericks would pull away to take the opening frame. The Panthers would battle back in the second to tie the match at one set apiece. Arlington would pull away in sets three and four to secure the victory.

In the match, junior Crystal Lee recorded 12 kills and 10 digs for her ninth double double on the season. Lee’s fifth kill, late in the first set was the 500th in her storied career.

Katie Creger tied her season high supplying seven blocks on the night. Texas native Shae Chapman notched five blocks of her own and eight kills, both season highs.

GSU is back at it tomorrow night looking for a win at Texas State. The Panthers and Bobcats will get together in San Marcos for a 7:30 p.m. eastern start. Live stats for the match will be available via georgiastatesports.com.
