JONESBORO- Freshman Paige Etherington enjoyed a career night, but it fell in vain as Arkansas State defeated GSU in three sets, (14-25, 18-25, 17-25) Friday night. Georgia State has an opportunity to go 1-1 on the road trip as they battle Little Rock tomorrow night.

Etherington set a career high totaling 11 assists on the night. It was also the first time the freshman has led the team in assists this season. Etherington also added an ace and four digs on the evening. Sophomore libero Celeste Friesen led all players with 16 digs on the evening.

The Panthers will look to bounce back tomorrow night against Little Rock to earn a split on the road trip. Action will get started form the state capital at 7:30 p.m.
