MONROE-La.- Georgia State volleyball dropped a four set match to ULM (25-23, 25-22, 25-27, 25-22) Thursday night in Monroe. The Panthers dropped the first two sets before earning a win in the third to extend the match.

GSU was led by senior Crystal Lee who recorded her fifth double-double on the season with 14 kills and 11 digs. The 14 digs landed Lee at 204 on the season, making her the first Panther to hit the 200-kill mark in 2018.The Chicago native would also notch two aces and two assists.

Sarah Renner also delivered a double-double, her sixth of the season behind 30 assists and ten digs in just three sets. Meisheia Griffin continued her strong defensive play with nine blocks, and Lauren Bandera added 15 digs. Bandera now has a team high 209 digs on the year.

Sydney Stroud put down 11 kills, reaching the double digit mark for the seventh time on the year. Morgan Hash would add 11 kills of her own, her fourth double-digit effort of the season.

GSU’s middles combined for 14 kills on the evening as Griffin recorded eight, and Shae Chapman added six hitting .263.

Georgia State is back on the court tomorrow, taking on Louisiana in Lafayette. The Panthers and Ragin’ Cajuns will get together at 7:30 pm, live stats and video will be available via the links on our schedule page.
