ATLANTA - Georgia State's women's basketball team will host the GSU Thanksgiving Classic this weekend at the GSU Sports Arena.

Georgia State will start the event with a 4 p.m. tip against VCU on Friday. WKU and Mercer will then play at 6 p.m. GSU will then face WKU Sunday at 2 p.m. before Mercer and VCU play the final game at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Both of Georgia State's games will be on ESPN3.

• The Panthers had a challenging start to the season, facing Florida, No. 4 Mississippi State and Georgia Tech on the road for the first three games.
