ARLINGTON, Texas – Georgia State women’s basketball team fell 69-45 to UT Arlington Saturday at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.

UT Arlington jumped on top early and didn’t relinquish the lead. The Mavericks made their first four 3-pointers of the game to build a 12-point lead after the first quarter.

Georgia State fought back in the second quarter and cut UTA’s lead down to six, but that would be as close as the Panthers would get on Saturday.

The Mavericks came out of halftime and made another run to push their lead to 20 in the second half.

Georgia State falls to 10-9 overall and 4-4 in the Sun Belt. The Panthers will visit rival Georgia Southern In Statesboro on Saturday.
