Pitching for the first time, he went 2-2 with a 6.04 ERA in 13 appearances ... Had 23 strikeouts and just four walks in 22.1 innings ... Made the first mound appearance of his college career vs. Jackson State (3-14-16), pitching the ninth inning of the 11-5 win. Allowed one run but struck out two; needed just three pitches to strike out the first batter he faced ... After GSU scored one in the 11th, he got the final three outs to seal the win ... Tough luck loser in a career-long 4.0-inning stint vs. Troy (5-13-16), when he held the Trojans scoreless on just one hit for the eighth, ninth and 10th innings before allowing two runs in the 11th.
2015: Played in 39 games as a freshman, including 12 starts in the outfield ... Also used as a defensive replacement in right field ... Hit .224 with one homer and eight RBI.
Hit a solo home run against No. 23 Liberty in his third collegiate at-bat ... Delivered a walk-off win vs. Florida A&M (3-17-15) with a suicide squeeze to score Ryan Blanton in the bottom of the 11th inning ... Drove in a run in the Panthers' 5-2 win on Friday and then made a key defensive play in Sunday's 2-1 victory when he threw out a runner at the plate ...
