ATLANTA- Georgia State's women's soccer team posted a 3.65 GPA for the 2017 spring semester. Of the 26 student-athletes on the roster, 18 were named to an academic honor roll.
Georgia State's AD Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes with a GPA between 3.0-3.49. The Dean's List is for student-athletes which earn a 3.5-3.99 GPA and the President's List is for student-athletes who receive a 4.0 or above.
The Panthers had four players named to the AD Honor Roll, eight named to the Dean List, and five named to the President's List. Junior Kylie Ruffule had the team's highest GPA, earning a 4.26 as a criminal justice major.
The Georgia State Department of Athletics shattered all previous records with a 3.30 grade-point average for the spring semester and 227 student-athletes earning academic honors.
The 3.30 GPA topped the previous semester record of 3.18 set last spring. The outstanding semester gives the athletic department a GPA of 3.22 for the 2016-17 academic year. The combined cumulative GPA for all student-athletes now sits at 3.25, also an all-time high.
A record 51 student-athletes earned President's List recognition, Georgia State's highest academic distinction signifying a semester GPA of 4.0 or higher. Rhett Harper of the baseball team and women's golfer Solene Le Coz were the top individuals, each with a 4.30 semester GPA - straight A-plusses.
Eighty-seven individuals achieved Dean's List status with a semester GPA of 3.5-3.99, also a high for the department, and another 89 student-athletes made the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a 3.0 or higher.
