ATLANTA- The Georgia State women’s soccer team will open its home slate on Sunday against cross-town foe Kennesaw State at 7 p.m.

The Panthers kicked off the regular season against at UAB Friday night, falling 1-0 to the Blazers. GSU created several chances to find the back of the net, but could not convert seven shots on target.

Junior Monique Hundley led the team in shots with five as three were on goal. Freshman Alex Addington also led the offensive effort, posting three shots with two on target.

Kennesaw State will play its second match of the season after playing to a 1-1 double overtime draw at Winthrop Friday night. This will be the sixth time the two teams face each other, with the series standing at 2-2-1.

First kick is set for 7 p.m., and a live stream will be available free of charge on PantherVision. This will mark the first of four matches that will be streamed this year. Live stats will be available at GeorgiaStateSports.com, and parking and admission is free for all fans.
